Almost 100 years ago, the Mayo brothers, Cass A. and John D. teamed together to open the Mayo Hotel. This high-class hotel opened in 1925 with its Art Deco adornments and attracted many for their cocktails. The hotel included 600 luxurious rooms and offered rooms for residence. The Mayo Hotel quickly became a famous place in Tulsa for celebrities, social events, and business meetings. However, in 1981 the Mayo Hotel closed until the Synder Family bought the hotel in 2001. By 2008 renovations were made in the lobby and the hotel rooms that are aligned with the Mayo Brother's original visions. Today, the Mayo hotel has 102 guest rooms, 76 residences, and still hosts a plethora of events.
To clean your coasters, prepare a solution of 3 parts hot water (not boiling) and 1 part bleach. Soak the coasters overnight. Rinse, lay flat with the cork-side up and allow to air dry. This process may be repeated to remove stubborn stains such as coffee, wine and cola.
